Gilbert Breaks Ground on New VA Clinic
Construction is underway for one of the biggest veteran clinics in the country right here in Gilbert. Department of Veterans Affairs and Gilbert leaders recently broke ground on a new Southeast Community Based Outpatient VA Clinic located near Gilbert and Pecos Roads.
The facility will be a 2-story, 60-thousand-square-foot building for outpatient services. It will be a support system for Southeast Valley veterans offering primary care, mental health, ideology, recreational, occupational and physical therapy, dental, tele-health services, health promotion and disease prevention.
Vice Mayor Ben Cooper spoke during the ground-breaking ceremony
“It is a true honor to know that our area veterans this premiere location,” he said, “and receive the highest level of care within this sophisticated new facility.”
